Usage
- Bovines (Cattle, Buffaloes): 30ml per 300kg body weight for mastitis, pneumonia, etc.
- 15ml per 375kg body weight for musculoskeletal disorders.
- Dogs & Cats: 0.2-0.5ml per 10kg body weight.
- Horses: 30ml per 250kg body weight.
- Swine: 2ml per 25kg body weight.
- Sheep & Goats: 2ml per 33kg body weight.
- Mechanism of Action: Meloxicam blocks inflammatory mediators, reducing pain and swelling.
- Veterinary Consultation: Always consult a vet for precise dosage and safe administration.
Precautions
- Age & Reproductive Safety: Not evaluated for use in dogs younger than 6 months, breeding dogs, or pregnant/lactating animals.
- Bleeding Disorders: Not recommended for animals with bleeding disorders, as safety has not been established.
- Organ Toxicity Risk: NSAIDs, including Meloxicam, may cause gastrointestinal, renal, and hepatic toxicity, with sensitivity varying between animals.
